The Erwin Brothers receved the Short Form Video of The Year Award
during the 40th annual Dove Awards on Thursday April 23rd for the
Casting Crowns video "Slow Fade". The awards, broadcast live on the
Gospel Music Channel, showcase the best in Christian and Gospel music.
The Brothers were nominated for four doves, three in the short form
video catagory. What follows is an email from Jon Erwin to the cast,
crew, friends and family...
Hello all,
Just wanted to say that when they announced that we won the Dove for best video everything went to slow motion, our brains went into a fog, and the whole thing felt surreal. Plus Mark Hall made us talk! What a crazy night! There is no way on the spot to thank everyone that made this possible. So I wanted to write this email to all of you and say THANK YOU THANK YOU! Especially....
PROVIDENT for giving us a great project. Ben, Terry, Michelle and Especially Jason McArthur who helped us shape this one from the ground up. Also thanks to Mark and the gang @ Casting Crowns. They are awesome to work with. Humble and just plain fun!
Our awesome FILM CREW. This shoot was long and hard and I appreciate all your work. Dan, Jack, Kris, Joe (who makes a cameo flipping a piece of furniture), Stephen, Andy D, Paul, Luke, the list goes on and on. Our EXTRAS that show up shoot after shoot, most of the time for free.
The city of BIRMINGHAM for letting us do whatever we want there. Rachel and David for giving us the piano. And everyone else for your support.
Most of all I'd like to thank the Lord, my wife Beth and daughter Kate. Love you guys! THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!!
Regards,
Jon Erwin
